The ISD Series Dryer is our 6th Generation dryer. The concept was to design and develop a dryer with a compact footprint to handle material with extremely high moisture content (sludge/ slurry ) with a moisture of around 80 % to a dried product with moisture less than 10%.
The ISD series uses an innovative re-circulation & blending system followed by a multi stage drying process RFD System (rotary pre heater/dryer followed by flash dryers) . The re-circulation system transports metered quantities of dry biomass discharged from the airlock back into the input stream of the dryer.
A twin shaft blender mixes the raw input slurry and the dry re-circulation material to generate a wet granular matter with 50% moisture content. Thus, an extremely wet slurry like material is transformed into a free flowing wet matter suitable for processing by the RFD drying system.
